Vision and Values

Our vision in Science is to support our students to become knowledgeable, scientifically and technologically literate problem solvers.

Students will develop a spirit of inquiry and curiosity through relevant scientific practical learning and real-world experiences. Our students will leave school as informed citizens capable of comprehending, analysing and making well-reasoned judgments on global issues.

Whilst Science is part of the core curriculum, there are two options for science at GCSE level.

• Combined Science comprises elements of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, which combine to give 2 X GCSEs.
• Triple Science comprises 3 separate GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Please see our dedicted subject page for Biology, Chemistry and Physics
